I was lucky to be invited to a round of golf last week and whilst it´s not often that I get the chance to take the time out to do this, I´ve been trying to improve my work/life balance as the importance of taking care of yourself should not be understated. After all, I´m a huge believer that if you take care of yourself you´ll be much better equipped to take care of those around you.
One of the members I was introduced to happened to have a keen interest in aircraft and flying, which really struck a chord with me. My line of work has given me the pleasure of helping a significant number of commercial pilots in jurisdictions across the world, to optimise their financial and tax position. A pilot´s job automatically puts them in a more complex situation for many things, for example, how and where they receive their remuneration, where they are considered tax resident, how to optimise their tax position, as well as how to make the most effective contributions to pensions and retirement planning.
